Join your Friends and Neighbors for the 2022 Black Forest Community Trunk-Or-Treat & Oktoberfest!

Sunday, October 30th

Trunk-Or-Treat, 3pm - 5pm

Oktoberfest, 5pm - 8pm

We hope you can join the Black Forest Community for the 3rd Annual Trunk-Or-Treat from 3pm – 5pm on Sunday, October 30th. Then stick around for Oktoberfest for music, food, and drink from 5pm – 8pm.

The Community Trunk-Or-Treat and Oktoberfest are free community events hosted by the Black Forest Community Club. These events cannot take place without the support of our community; thank you for your interest in helping to make them possible.

Community Trunk-Or-Treat

3:00pm – 5:00pm

Black Forest Community Club Backyard*

This is our 3rd Annual Black Forest Community Trunk-Or-Treat and the kids love it! We anticipate it will be as well attended this year as the first two years.

This is a community event, so families and businesses host a trunk and provide candy to pass out to our Black Forest Trunk-Or-Treaters. Thank you to all of those that participate to spread Halloween cheer to our local kids that typically have to visit other neighborhoods to trick-or-treat.

Hot dogs, snacks, and drinks will be available on a suggested donation basis. All proceeds benefit the Black Forest Community Club for ongoing maintenance and improvements to the Community Center.

*Please note that pets are not allowed at this event as the Black Forest Community Center is private property and the BFCC insurance does not allow for pets during events.

Parking Information for Trunk-Or-Treat

Several local businesses are opening their parking lots so we can minimize the parking on the street, which helps to keep our very important kids out of the streets. Please feel free to park in any of these locations:

Black Forest Lutheran Church, 12455 Black Forest Road

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6950 Shoup Road

Black Forest Bistro, 6750 Shoup Road

Rockin B’, 12440 Black Forest Road

Black Forest Business Center (where the Black Forest Veterinary Clinic is), 12655 Black Forest Road

Oktoberfest Celebration

5:00pm – 8:00pm

Black Forest Community Center

The Black Forest Community Center has been the site of Black Forest Oktoberfest celebrations for several years. Always very popular, the Black Forest Community Oktoberfest features live music, German food, drinks, and dancing.

This year, the Oktoberfest Celebration will be inside the Black Forest Community Center as well as on the deck. We are excited to have live music from the Das Half Pint Band performing.

We will be serving brats and drinks on a donation basis from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. We do not have a liquor license for this event, so we are unable to serve alcoholic beverages; however, guests are welcome to bring their own beverages of choice to be consumed inside of the Community Center.

Everyone is welcome and please bring some cookies to share. German or Halloween-themed cookies are encouraged!

There are several ways to participate in the Black Forest Community Trunk-Or-Treat:

1. We need trunks! We need families, businesses, and organizations to sign-up to host a trunk and provide candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters. If you can decorate your vehicle, it adds to the fun (however, decorating is not required). Please pre-register your vehicle so we can plan the spacing.

Trunk setup and decorating begins at 1:30pm on Sunday, October 30th. For safety reasons trunks must be parked by 2:30pm and have to stay until the Trunk-Or-Treat ends at 5pm. Having a ton of young, excited kids running around alongside moving cars is a situation we want to avoid.

2. We need donations! We need donations of candy, or donations of money to buy candy, to help supplement those that volunteer to host a trunk. Candy donations can be dropped off at 6150 Shoup Road.

3. We need volunteers! We need all the help we can get to put on both the Community Trunk-Or-Treat and Oktoberfest.

Thank you 2022 Trunks!
