The Black Forest Festival is taking place on August 12, 2023.

The theme for this year’s Festival is At Home in the Black Forest, and we are excited to recognize and honor
the traditions of the Black Forest that make our community such a unique and wonderful home.

We are putting out an open call for local Black Forest Artists to submit a logo design for the Black Forest Festival that represents the theme At Home in the Black Forest. Everyone is welcome to create and submit a logo!

Please submit logo designs by Sunday, April 30, 2023. 

The logo will be used in a variety of ways:
-On the festival website
-On various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and NextDoor
-In multiple print materials
-Made into framed prints and given to sponsors to display in their place of business
-Used in T-shirts that will be sold during the festival to raise funds for a new roof for the Black Forest Community Center

What we are looking for:
-A logo that encompasses the theme for the 2023 festival At Home in the Black Forest.

-Logo designs can be submitted as either a high quality jpg or png.

-Please limit designs to include no more than 4 unique colors (shades of colors are still considered unique colors).
Black and white featured on the design are included as one of the 4 colors. 

-If your design is full-color, a jpg or png featuring your design with one color is recommended
as some applications may require a single color.

-If the designer desires, a written explanation of the design concept is optional.

-Images and documents can be submitted via email to WeAreBlackForestCO@gmail.com, using the following naming format: Firstname_Lastname_BFLogo2023

If your logo is selected, you may be asked to make some minor edits
or adjustments as needed for specific applications of the logo.

What do you get if your logo design is selected?
-The artist will receive full credit for the logo and will be recognized as the artist on the
Festival Website and Social Media Platforms.

-The Artist will receive two free 2023 Festival t-shirts.

-The artist will receive a free booth space if they choose to exhibit during the festival OR the artisit will be awarded a $100.00 gift card to Meininger’s Art Supply store in Colorado Springs if they choose to not have a booth in the 2023 Black Forest Festival.
