All donations benefit the Black Forest Community Club for the event itself and ongoing maintenance of the Community Center. \nThe event takes place in the Backyard Area of the Black Forest Community Center\, 12530 Black Forest Road. \nThis is our 6th Annual Black Forest Community Trunk-Or-Treat and the kids love it!\nWe anticipate it will be as well attended this year as prior years. \nThis is a community event\, so families and businesses host a trunk and provide candy to pass out to our Black Forest Trunk-Or-Treaters. \nThank you to all of those that participate to spread Halloween cheer to our local kids that typically have to visit other neighborhoods to trick-or-treat. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that pets are not allowed at this event as the Black Forest Community Center is private property and\nthe BFCC insurance does not allow for pets during events. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are several ways to participate in the Black Forest Community Trunk-Or-Treat:\n\n\n\n\n1. We need trunks! We need families\, businesses\, and organizations to sign-up to host a trunk and provide candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters. If you can decorate your vehicle\, it adds to the fun (however\, decorating is not required). Please pre-register your vehicle so we can plan the spacing. \nTrunk setup and decorating begins at 12:00am on Saturday\, October 25th. For safety reasons trunks must be parked by 1:30pm and have to stay until the Trunk-Or-Treat ends at 4pm. Having a ton of young\, excited kids running around alongside moving cars is a situation we want to avoid. \n2. We need donations! We need donations of candy\, or donations of money to buy candy\, to help supplement those that volunteer to host a trunk. Candy can be dropped off to Mountain View Cafe and Catering or to the Firehouse On The Run or to the Chicken Coop. This event is not just a community gathering\, it is a fundraiser and 100% of the net proceeds go toward the renovation costs for the historic Black Forest Log School. This will be a great event for the entire family. A full dinner will be served thanks to generous donations from local businesses. \nWe are also hosting drink service with beer\, wine\, and some special Christmas drinks. Soda and hot chocolate will also be available. Coffee and water will be provided at no cost by the Black Forest Community Center. As this is a fundraiser for the Log School\, we kindly request that no outside beverages are brought into the event. \nThe Log School will be decorated for Christmas as it would have been decorated 100 years ago shortly after it was first built. The Log School will be open for tours with a guided talk by local docents knowledgeable of the Black Forest Log School. The Log School docents will have a special old-time Christmas gift for each child at the end of the tour! Clean up after. \nWho: Members of the Women Warriors of the Woods and the Black Forest Community can sign up to give away items from our homes\, yards\, barns\, storage units\, and closets. These items will then be displayed in a garage-sale format\, which is open to the general public. It’s a yard sale without money! \nWhy: To get rid of our clutter while blessing others. \nThere are 15 remaining spots available for a giveaway tables. You must bring your own tables or blanket to display your items. Set up will start at 11am\, with doors opening to the public at 12pm. If you would like to participate as a “vendor”\, please sign-up using the form below\, and let us know in the comments whether you would like to reserve the equivalent of one 8‘ x 3‘ space or two 8‘ x 3‘ spaces. If you plan to bring a blanket for your items\, please request two spaces. You do NOT want to miss this special intro to line dance steps class. \nWhat: Unlike no other\, an absolute beginner-level 90 minute line dance bootcamp! \nWhen: Feb 7\, 9:00 AM-10:30 AM \nWhere: Black Forest Community Center \nWhy: This bootcamp is very helpful for those who have little to no line dance experience\, BUT have a desire to learn. The class will focus primarily on 20 or so of the most common and basic steps in line dance. We will learn one line dance at the end of the instructional phase of camp. No one has left these boot camps without being able to do at least one dance. So come have fun!! \nWho: All are welcome but must be physically able to stand\, walk\, kick\, turn\, and do other dance steps. Check with your physician beforehand!! \nWe specialize in those who claim to have “2 left feet”! \nCost: $10 per person to be donated to the Black Forest Community Center \n*Disclaimer: No 1st aid/CPR equipment or person is on hand.
