Thank you!  \nJoin us for the Black Forest Fire Remembrance event featuring Keynote Speaker\, Congressman Doug Lamborn.  \nThis event will also feature a Scout-led Flag Ceremony\, informational booths regarding Firewise and Mitigation\, plus other local speakers. You are invited to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the Log School Park\, or food will be available for purchase. BFCC Volunteers will be selling hot dogs and R&R Cafe and Rizuto’s Ice Cream will have items for purchase. Come out to spend time with your neighbors as we recognize our community’s recovery from the Fire. \nBlack Forest Community REGROW TO RESTORE \nIf you are able\, dig and pot a small sapling from your property and bring it to the event. We have lists of residents whose properties were destroyed by the fire. DESCRIPTION:We are asking members of the Black Forest Community for help in cleaning up the Log School Park to get it ready for the Fire Remembrance Celebration. \nAs you may know\, Congressman Doug Lamborn\, several other guest speakers\, and the media will be in the Log School Park for the Fire Remembrance Celebration and we want our Log School Park to look its best! (The Fire Remembrance Celebration is Saturday\, June 10th). \nPlease join us on Friday\, June 2nd from 9am – 12pm to help pull weeds\, rake mulch\, and pick up trash in the Log School Park. \nPlease wear sunscreen and bring gloves and a water bottle. We need wheelbarrows\, metal rakes\, shovels\, and pitchforks if you are able to bring any of these for the day. \nThere is an event in the Black Forest Commuity Center that afternoon\, so we plan to be finished by 12:00pm. \nThank you in advance for any help you can give. \n-The Black Forest Community Club and the Black Forest Festival Volunteer Team

Always very popular\, the Black Forest Community Oktoberfest features live music\, German food\, drinks\, and dancing. Thank you so much to the Black Forest Community Club for hosting the Oktoberfest celebration at the Community Center again this year. \nThis year\, the Oktoberfest Celebration will be inside the Black Forest Community Center as well as on the deck. We are excited to have live music from the Das Half Pint Band performing. \nWe will be serving brats and drinks on a donation basis from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. We do not have a liquor license for this event\, so we are unable to serve alcoholic beverages; however\, guests are welcome to bring their own beverages of choice to be consumed inside of the Community Center. \nEveryone is welcome and please bring some cookies to share. German or Halloween-themed cookies are encouraged! \nWe hope that everyone will join us for live music\, delicious food\, and gemütlichkeit (cordiality) in the forest.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Sunday June 12th at 5:00pm for a Community Potluck Dinner/Fire Remembrance with live music by the Highland Troupe. \nWe have not forgotten that the Black Forest Fire took place in the month of June. This June\, we want to hold a community celebration in remembrance of the fire; however\, we also want to recognize the amount of regrowth that has taken place since the fire. Please join us for a Community Potluck Dinner on Sunday June 12th at 5:00pm at the Black Forest Community Center\, 12530 Black Forest Road. This will be a time for the Black Forest Community to come together and recognize and celebrate the Strong Community Roots that bind us all together. \nThis will be a potluck dinner\, so please bring a dish to share and bring drinks for your party\, alcoholic beverages are permitted. \nFor those in our community that are not able to bring a dish to share\, we ask you to please join this dinner. We have Strong Community Roots and there will be enough for all. \nWater\, coffee\, plates and utensils will be provided by the Black Forest Community Club. \nWe hope to see you in June for this special event.

DESCRIPTION:The Black Forest Community Center will again be hosting a Beginner Line Dance Boot Camp on Wednesday\, May 4th from 9am-11am!  \nThis Boot Camp is specifically tailored to those with little to no line dance experience\, but would very much like to get started on it. \nThe Boot Camp will focus on some of the more common and necessary beginner-level line dance steps\, and will conclude with one or two line dances using many of those steps. \nThe class is free\, but a $5 per person donation to the community center is suggested and proceeds go to our community center’s new roof.  \n    ——- Beginner Level Boot Camp— \nWhat: An absolute-beginner level line dance Boot Camp class \nWho: All are welcome!  Mack Sharp\, Yong Sharp\, and Denny Hassey offer this unique 2-hour Boot Camp. \nWhen: 4 May 2022\, 9-11 AM \nWhere:  Beautiful and Rustic Black Forest Community Center (12530 Black Forest Road) \nDetails: The first hour of the camp will focus on dance steps and techniques\, followed by putting those steps into 1-2 popular and fun line dances.   \nImmediately following the two hour line dance camp there will be the usual 11:30am-1:00pm Beginner Line Dance Class and those participating in the Boot Camp are also welcome to stay for that class as well. \nThis is a great 3 1/2 to 4 hour class for only a $5 donation! \n*Please note that neither the Black Forest Community club nor the instructors are responsible for injury incurred during or as a result of this and other classes.  Always check with your medical professionals before beginning any type of new exercise class or routine.
