SUMMARY:Log School Park Clean-Up Day
DESCRIPTION:We are asking members of the Black Forest Community for help in cleaning up the Log School Park to get it ready for the Fire Remembrance Celebration. \nAs you may know\, Congressman Doug Lamborn\, several other guest speakers\, and the media will be in the Log School Park for the Fire Remembrance Celebration and we want our Log School Park to look its best! (The Fire Remembrance Celebration is Saturday\, June 10th). \nPlease join us on Friday\, June 2nd from 9am – 12pm to help pull weeds\, rake mulch\, and pick up trash in the Log School Park. \nPlease wear sunscreen and bring gloves and a water bottle. We need wheelbarrows\, metal rakes\, shovels\, and pitchforks if you are able to bring any of these for the day. \nThere is an event in the Black Forest Commuity Center that afternoon\, so we plan to be finished by 12:00pm. \nThank you in advance for any help you can give. \n-The Black Forest Community Club and the Black Forest Festival Volunteer Team

DESCRIPTION:Black Forest Fire Remembrance\n10 Years of Recovery\nSaturday\, June 10th\, 1:00pm\nBlack Forest Community Center \nUPDATE: Due to the interest in this event\, we have created a parking area in the Backyard near the Western Storefront. Several disabled parking spots will be available near the Community Center\, but please head to the Backyard Area for general event parking. Thank you!  \nJoin us for the Black Forest Fire Remembrance event featuring Keynote Speaker\, Congressman Doug Lamborn.  \nThis event will also feature a Scout-led Flag Ceremony\, informational booths regarding Firewise and Mitigation\, plus other local speakers. You are invited to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the Log School Park\, or food will be available for purchase. BFCC Volunteers will be selling hot dogs and R&R Cafe and Rizuto’s Ice Cream will have items for purchase. Come out to spend time with your neighbors as we recognize our community’s recovery from the Fire. \nBlack Forest Community REGROW TO RESTORE \nIf you are able\, dig and pot a small sapling from your property and bring it to the event. We have lists of residents whose properties were destroyed by the fire.
