DESCRIPTION:Beginner-level line dance classes\, taught by Mack Sharp and assisted by Yong Sharp and Denny Hassey. \nThis is a Black Forest Community-focused activity that is going into its 4th year! \nCome join us in learning and doing multiple genres of line dance\, i.e. Hip-Hop\, Country\, Latin\, Ballroom etc. We look forward to seeing you come and have fun with us and becoming part of the…Black Forest Line Dancers. \nWho Can Attend: Black Forest Line Dancers as well as anyone else who would like to learn and have fun doing line dance!  All are welcome to participate.* \n When:  Every Wednesday from 11:30am to 1:00pm. \nWhere:  Your Black Forest Community Center \, 12530 Black Forest Road (at the intersection of Shoup and Black Forest Road). \nWhy: For the fun of socializing and learning beginner-level line dance! \nCost:  Classes are donation-based and all donations go toward the ongoing maintenance and development of the Black Forest Community Center and surrounding property. The community-built log building is over 90 years old (built in 1927) and we work to maintain the building and land so the Black Forest Community Center can last another 90 years. \nThank you and we hope to see you all there! \nMack  \n*All are welcome to participate\, but do so at their own risk. SUMMARY:A Black Forest Christmas and Log School Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Save the Date for the 2024 A Black Forest Christmas featuring the Black Forest Log School\nSaturday\, December 7\n5:00pm – 8:00pm\nBlack Forest Community Center\, 12530 Black Forest Road\nJoin us for A Black Forest Christmas featuring the Black Forest Log School. This event is not just a community gathering\, it is a fundraiser and 100% of the net proceeds go toward the renovation costs for the historic Black Forest Log School. This will be a great event for the entire family. A full dinner will be served thanks to generous donations from local businesses. \nWe are also hosting drink service with beer\, wine\, and some special Christmas drinks. Soda and hot chocolate will also be available. Coffee and water will be provided at no cost by the Black Forest Community Center. As this is a fundraiser for the Log School\, we kindly request that no outside beverages are brought into the event. \nThe Log School will be decorated for Christmas as it would have been decorated 100 years ago shortly after it was first built. The Log School will be open for tours with a guided talk by local docents knowledgeable of the Black Forest Log School. The Log School docents will have a special old-time Christmas gift for each child at the end of the tour! Tours will be available on a donation basis. \nThere will also be a silent auction\, christmas carols\, christmas cookies\, and visits with Santa! And\, of course\, we will host the annual Black Forest Christmas Tree Lighting. \nPlease bring cookies to share! \nSchedule: \n5:00pm – 8:00pm – Drink service\, visits with Santa\, and Log School tours will run during the entire event \n5:00pm – 7:00pm – Dinner and acoustic music (dinner will be served buffet-style from 5pm – 7pm) \n7:00pm – 8:00pm – Cookies\, tree lighting\, and music from Pine Creek High School Choirs* \n*If you are not planning to attend the dinner event\, the tree lighting with cookies will run from 7pm – 8pm. \nSuggested Donation Amounts: \nAdult Dinner – $20/person* \nChild Dinner (12 and under)  – $8/child \nLog School Small Group Tour with docent  – $10/person OR $20/family\, 12 and under free \nWe hope you and your family will join the Black Forest Community for this fun event and help to protect and restore a valuable part of Black Forest history. \nMore details can be found at https://coa.oni.mybluehost.me/website_30ea15fb/2024-christmas/ \nDinner Seating is Available for 100 People.
