Celebrating "Strong Community Roots"
The Black Forest Festival is on Saturday, August 13th, 2022.
The 2022 Black Forest Festival will be better than ever with live music, exciting demos, and a return of the Outhouse Races.
We are also pleased to announce the annual Pancake Breakfast will take place again outdoors on Saturday before the start of the Festival.
On Friday, August 12th we will host the 4th Annual Black Forest Biergarten.
The theme for this year’s Festival is Strong Community Roots, and we are excited to recognize and honor the various organizations of the Black Forest that create strong roots within our community.
We can’t wait for the 2022 Black Forest Festival, so mark your calendars for
Friday, August 12th and Saturday, August 13th for a great Black Forest Festival Weekend.
Based upon current guidelines, the festival will take place without masks, social distancing, contact tracing, or capacity limits.

Black Forest Biergarten
Friday, August 12th
6:00pm - 9:00pm
We are excited to bring the 4th Annual Biergarten Fundraiser to the Black Forest Community again this year, on Friday, August 12th from 6pm – 9pm. All proceeds go toward the “Raise the Roof” campaign to help provide a desperately needed new roof to the Black Forest Community Center.
Come out for live music, your very own Black Forest Biergarten sampler glass, and unlimited beer samples. This event has sold out for the last three years! Tickets are required and are limited to 350.
Tickets have SOLD OUT. Designated Drivers or those that want to see Wirewood Station can purchase tickets at the door for $5. These tickets include access to the event to see the band and a bottled water or soda.
Black Forest Festival & Pancake Breakfast

The Black Forest Festival 2021 will return with the beloved Community Pancake Breakfast, Festival Parade, Outhouse Race, Artisan Booth Fair, Live Demonstrations, Music, Kids Games, and Food.

Black Forest Festival Artisan and Business Booth Fair
Saturday, August 13th
8:00am - 3:00pm
The Artisan and Business Booth Fair is an extremely popular attraction during the Black Forest Festival. The festival is typically attended by over 4,000 people so it’s a great opportunity to showcase your small business or products.
Our booths have been completely sold! Thank you to our community for your support and we can’t wait to see all the great booths during the festival.
Black Forest Festival Parade

The Black Forest Festival parade is a community favorite.
It’s FREE to participate in the parade, so start planning now to sign up and join other great businesses and organizations that walk in the parade.
Outhouse Races

The ever popular racing of the outhouses returns this year!
According to a source cited by the Black Forest Community Club, the races date back to 1976 when those that lived in Black Forest wanted to host a watermelon feed in a nearby empty lot. “The problem with the site was with all the beer and watermelon that would be consumed, there would be a dire need for toilets.”
This was when someone suggested that they move the two outhouses, which had served the community center for years, to the location of the celebration. And the Black Forest Outhouse Races were born!
Family Beer Garden
Saturday, August 13th
12:00pm - 3:00pm
By popular demand, we are hosting a Family Beer Garden during the Festival again this year. Families can come into the Beer Garden for drinks, sodas, water, snacks, games, and music.
This is a different event from the Biergarten Fundraiser, taking place on Friday, August 12th.
