The Black Forest Festival is taking place on August 10, 2024.

The theme for this year’s Festival is 55 Years of Tradition.

A local festival with a community parade is one of the things that make our community such a unique and wonderful home.
We are excited to recognize and honor the tradition of the Black Forest Festival. 

We are putting out an open call for local Black Forest Artists to submit a logo design for the Black Forest Festival that represents the theme 55 Years of Tradition. Everyone is welcome to create and submit a logo!

Please submit logo designs by Sunday, May 12, 2024. 

The logo will be used in a variety of ways:
-On the festival website
-On various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and NextDoor
-In multiple print materials
-Used in T-shirts that will be sold during the festival

What we are looking for:
-A logo that encompasses the theme for the 2024 Black Forest Festival 55 Years of Tradition.

-Logo designs can be submitted as either a high quality jpg or png. They can also be submitted as vector files (.ai).

-Please limit designs to include no more than 4 unique colors (shades of colors are still considered unique colors).
Black and white featured on the design are included as one of the 4 colors. 

-If your design is full-color; it is recommended to also submit a jpg or png featuring your design with one color
as some applications may require a single color.

-A written explanation of the design concept is helpful, but not required.

-Please submit images and documents via email to WeAreBlackForestCO@gmail.com, using the following naming format: Firstname_Lastname_BFLogo2024

If your logo is selected, you may be asked to make some minor edits
or adjustments as needed for specific applications of the logo.

What do you get if your logo design is selected?
-The artist will receive full credit for the logo and will be recognized as the artist on the
Festival Website and Social Media Platforms.

-The Artist will receive two free 2024 Black Forest Festival t-shirts featuring the logo design.

-The artist will receive a free booth space if they choose to exhibit during the festival.

-If the artist does not wish to have a booth in the 2024 Black Forest Festival,
the artisit will be awarded a $100.00 gift card to Meininger’s Art Supply store in Colorado Springs
OR a $100.00 gift card to the art supply store of their choice.
