The 2023 Black Forest Festival is on Saturday, August 12th,
and the Black Forest Biergarten Fundraiser is Friday, August 11th.

The theme for this year’s Festival is At Home in the Black Forest.
We are excited to recognize the traditions of the Black Forest that make our community such a unique and wonderful home.

Annual Black Forest Community Pancake Picnic Breakfast

Saturday, August 12th

6:30am - 9:30am

Join your friends and neighbors for the annual Black Forest Pancake Picnic Breakfast. This is a great event which many people come out to enjoy each year.

The Pancake Picnic Breakfast is hosted by the R&R Cafe with tons of support provided by Boy Scout Troop 70.

Come out for delicious pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

The Pancake Picnic Breakfast is free to the community, but donations are welcome!

Black Forest Festival Artisan & Business Booth Fair

8:00am - 3:00pm

Booths for the 2023 Black Forest Festival Artisan and Business Booth Fair have sold out.

We are pleased to announce that this year, EVERY booth INCLUDES a parking space on premises.

There are 3 categories of parking:

-Regular (onsite but not adjacent to booth

-Premium (directly behind booth)

-X Large (there are 8 parking spaces that are capable of holding a vehicle plus trailer)*

*If you have more than 1 vehicle or if you have a trailer but do not select an XL Parking Space, the extra vehicle(s) must be parked offsite.

If you are interested, there is an option to to join the waitlist in the event booths become available.

Black Forest Festival Parade

The Black Forest Festival parade is a community favorite.

It’s FREE to participate in the parade, so start planning now to sign up and join other great businesses and organizations that walk in the parade.

Outhouse Races

The ever popular racing of the outhouses returns this year!

According to a source cited by the Black Forest Community Club, the races date back to 1976 when those that lived in Black Forest wanted to host a watermelon feed in a nearby empty lot. “The problem with the site was with all the beer and watermelon that would be consumed, there would be a dire need for toilets.”

This was when someone suggested that they move the two outhouses, which had served the community center for years, to the location of the celebration. And the Black Forest Outhouse Races were born!

2023 Black Forest Festival Volunteers Needed!

The Black Forest Festival is an important community event and it could not happen without the help from so many volunteers. Planning has already started and the team meets every other Wednesday at the Black Forest Community Center from 6:00om – 8:00pm.

If you are interested in contributing to your community while working with a FUN volunteer team, we would love to have you join us!

2023 Black Forest Biergarten Fundraiser

We are excited to bring the 5th Annual Biergarten Fundraiser to the Black Forest again this year.
The 2023 Black Forest Biergarten is a night out with music, beer and fun.

2023 Black Forest Biergarten tickets are $25 for General Admission or $50 for VIP Tickets.

General Admission Tickets include musical entertainment from Wirewood Station, a party bag,
a custom souvenir pint glass from the event, and 2 drink tickets for 8-oz pours of beer from one of our featured breweries.

VIP tickets include musical entertainment from Wirewood Station, a party bag, a custom souvenir glass from the event, plus:
*Entrance to the event one-hour before everyone else, the VIP ticket-holders get in from 5:30pm – 6:30pm.
*Special tickets for 2-ounce sample pours. VIP ticket-holders will get a ticket for a sample of each beer at the event (currently 10 samples).
*VIP tickets include (6) 8-oz pour drink tickets.
*Demos by the Brew Brothers of Pikes Peak, a local home brewers group.
*Special Musical Performance by local Black Forest artist Terry Spence.

Drink tickets for additional pints of beer, or additional half-pint samples, are available for purchase during the Biergarten.
